Great for one handed use
I have a baby and he usually wants to be held. I can only do things usually with one hand. This paper towel holder helps me grab towels with one hand because it stays on my smith countertop. It does tend to slide a bit once the roll is starting to finish because it is lighter.

Very nice quality
I really like this stand. It is heavy so that you can rip a towel off with one hand. I also like that the empty roll and new roll can be taken off and put on without having to unscrew the top as I have had to do with other holders. Highly recommend.

I find it silly to give a review for something so simple, but my toddler tested how durable this is and if it can keep together after a two year old used it as a baseball bat, I think it deserves 5 stars.

Just what I was looking for
I had purchased some cheap stainless steel paper towel holders from a nearby big name brand store and the holder required two hand usage or it would tip over. I hated that and I wanted something sturdy that could hold up with one hand usuge. Behold this towel holder. It never tops over and I endlessly use one hand to rip off a towel. The rolls I buy don't even require me to remove the cap on top to remove and replace a roll. Well worth the money.

Perfect and has two great features.
I bought this because my other paper towel holder make the worst and most annoying sound as it would slide across our quartz counter tops. The padded base does not make a sound when you pull a paper towel or move the holder across the counter. The rubber spine holds the paper towel core securely. This makes it easy to pull a paper towel off with one hand. The spine isn't attractive but it serves its purpose very well... and you can't see the spine with a paper towel roll is inserted on the holder. The quality is very good. It looks good sitting on the counter. I recommend this to anyone.

Exactly what I was looking for in a countertop paper towel holder
Weighted base with soft layer on bottom stays where put on the counter and doesn't scratch. Can get a roll of towels on it without having to unscrew the top. Easy to unroll and tear off a towel. Simple but perfect to coordinate with other stainless steel in the kitchen; doesn't take up extra counter space for a large base. I don't want my paper towel holder to be an obtrusive feature of my kitchen!

Really happy with this purchase, the price was good and it's very easy to rip off a paper towel one-handed. It's sturdy, doesn't tip and so far the metal is wearing well. I like it, I bought it as a replacement for the same one that was over 10 years old so I'm crossing my fingers this one lasts too.
